*Khande Sai Prakash* is a dedicated *Tholu Bommalata (leather puppetry)* artist from Nimmalakunta, Andhra Pradesh, and the founder of *Maanvika Leather Puppetry*. Passionate about preserving and promoting this centuries-old traditional art, he blends authentic craftsmanship with contemporary design to create innovative leather products, including decorative lamps, wall art, home décor, customised gifts, lifestyle accessories, and modern artistic installations. His work reflects a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, making Tholu Bommalata relevant to today's global audience.
He has conducted workshops, live demonstrations, and training programmes at *NIFT, **e-Rangoli**, **Development Commissioner (Handicrafts)**, **Golconda Handicrafts**, and **Lepakshi Handicrafts**, inspiring students, designers, artisans, and craft enthusiasts. He also serves as an **International Leather Puppetry Trainer for RISE, Austria**, where he promotes India's traditional leather puppetry through cross-cultural learning and skill development. Committed to preserving India's intangible cultural heritage, he continuously develops new product concepts and contemporary designs that expand the reach of Tholu Bommalata in national and international markets. His vision is to empower artisans, inspire younger generations, and establish Tholu Bommalata as a globally recognised art form while ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
