Aipanart Decorations Var Pith brings the traditional Aipan folk art of India onto a handmade wooden stand. The red surface carries a detailed white and orange design. A round mandala sits at the center, with a nine-block square inside it, and lattice-patterned paisley shapes on either side. A lotus with two birds rises above it. Smiling sun faces fill the upper corners, and two kalash, a bell, a shankh, and Laxmi’s footprints fill the lower part. A triangle and flower border frames the whole piece.
The pith is made from 18mm plywood and measures 24 x 18 x 1 inches. Master artisans craft the wooden piece, and the women of Uttarakhand paint it by hand. It works well as a marriage chowki, a stand for displaying your antique artworks, or a decor piece in a home temple.
Because each piece is handmade, the fine design, pattern, and color tone may vary slightly from the image. The quality stays the same.
Aipanart is a platform that showcases the traditional Aipan art of India and works to preserve this cultural heritage. Each design is crafted to support local artisans, encourage cultural exchange, and inspire a new generation to value the beauty and meaning of this ancient art form.
